The office, which will target both B2B and B2C merchants in the Benelux countries, follows the company’s strategy to expand across Europe.

Vaimo will start delivering omni-channel solutions to merchants and brands in all three BeNeLux countries from its office in Genk. Having successfully implemented a complex B2B solution for Lecot-Raedschelders, a leading supplier for the construction industry in Belgium and headquartered in Heule, Vaimo will continue to focus on the wholesale construction industry in addition to other industries in BeNeLux in order to help merchants grow online.

The eCommerce market in the region is growing fast. In 2016, the eCommerce turnover in Belgium increased by 10% when compared to the previous year with a total of €9.1 billion spent online. The B2C e-commerce is expected to increase to €602 billion in 2017, compared to €530 billion in 2016. In Netherlands, the B2C e-commerce turnover grew by 23% in 2016 compared to the preceding year. Luxembourg, who is among the top 10 countries in terms of internet penetration with 98% of people having access to internet, has seen an average growth of 15% year on year since 2013 in online revenue (source: Ecommerce Reports by Ecommerce Foundation).
