Vaimo, a global leader in digital commerce solutions, has strengthened its offerings in Sweden by internally recruiting Robin Carlsson as a new Country Manager. Most recently, Robin has been building Vaimo’s presence in the UK through brands such as Dyson, Polarn O. Pyret and Jack Daniel’s etc.

With award-winning digital commerce solutions and a host of B2C and B2B clients around the world, Vaimo has established itself as an industry market leader. With 15 offices, and over 350 employees, Vaimo had a turnover of more than 13 million euro in the first half of 2018 and 30% revenue growth. Just in time for Vaimo’s tenth anniversary, Robin Carlsson will now be appointed as the new head of the two Swedish offices. 

Robin began his journey at Vaimo in 2010 as a frontend developer when the company consisted of just 10 employees based in Stockholm. In 2013, Robin accepted the challenge and responsibility to lead Vaimo’s expansion in the UK. Over the last five years as the UK Country Manager, Robin has propelled Vaimo UK to where it is today—an organisation of over 40 people.

For Robin, his decision to continue with Vaimo has never been in doubt:

“It has always felt natural for me to develop further within the company. I’ve always seen our environment as very motivating and encouraging to work in. When I started eight years ago I saw such passion and got pulled right into it. I think that’s why it’s so important for me to convey that same message to everyone at Vaimo. Therefore, becoming Country Manager of Sweden, where it all started, feels completely right.”

Working with a number of global brands including Helly Hansen, Björn Borg, BAUHAUS and Daniel Wellington, Vaimo prides itself on offering a local presence and support for its clients. Given Robin’s experience within the company, the key focus for the Swedish office will be in growing and developing their presence in their home market. Though the eCommerce industry has certainly matured in Sweden, Robin believes there is still a long way to go.

“With the entry of for example Amazon into the country, more demands are being placed on businesses in terms of offering seamless online shopping experiences, for both B2B and B2C brands, and meeting ever-growing consumer demands. I have seen how hard companies have to work to stay relevant in the UK, and that is something I will bring with me to the Swedish market.”
