Back in September, we reported that our clients, Dr. Denim and aim’n, were finalists at the Swedish Habit Fashion Awards. On November 16th, 2017, the 11th annual Habit Fashion Gala took place in Berns Hotel, Stockholm, Sweden. Habit Shoes & Fashion, a Swedish fashion and style magazine, organises the event and awards influential individuals and inspirational companies who have made waves in the fashion industry over the last year. 

The Habit Mode Gala featured a panel of 60 judges comprised of representatives from Habit Shoes & Fashion, as well as experts from the fashion industry. The finalists were rated according to criteria in each individual category, and the winners were announced at the gala. This year, the Habit Fashion Awards included 36 finalists in 12 categories, including our clients, Dr. Denim and aim’n.

We are thrilled to share that Dr. Denim won the Denim Supplier of the Year Award, and aim’n took home the Newcomer of the Year Award! The Denim Supplier of the Year Award identifies a denim maker who is innovative, successful and progressive. The jury analysed the design, product and quality, commercial success, and sustainability of the brand.

Dr. Denim is a family owned and operated denim-based lifestyle brand that was born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2004. The company mixes history with progressive ideas and credits the family patriarchs for instilling the creative talent and the desire to create beautifully crafted denim. Dr. Denim makes long-lasting, contemporary premium denim with an affordable price tag and a perfect, calculated fit that people can rely on to take them through the day and further. The brand is available in over 25 countries worldwide, and entered online retail in 2013. In 2015, they decided to take their online presence to a completely new level with the help of Vaimo. 

Swedish activewear brand aim’n (meaning to constantly strive) was born in the fall of 2013 in Småland, Sweden, when two women, Tekla and Helen, realised they were weary of the selection of sportswear available to them on the market. The ladies built a sportswear brand that motivates and inspires their customers with their unique prints and fun designs.

The Newcomer of the Year Award signifies a unique supplier of clothing, shoes and/or accessories that has been active for at least of two years and has created at least one collection for sales. For this award, the clarity of the brand’s concept, the business plan, the product and design quality, and the level of innovation all counted towards the winner.
