Vaimo has been chosen as one of only a handful of companies to partner SPACEX in their journey to Mars

Vaimo, a global leading supplier of omni-channel and Magento solutions and a feature in this year’s Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies list, has released the monumental news that it is to partner with SPACEX in their first mission to Mars. Elon Musk’s vision of a spacefaring civilisation, seen as a pipedream by many for so long, has now become an indisputable reality with the first cargo mission scheduled for early 2022. A second mission with both cargo and crew is targeted for 2024, with the first businesses to then arrive by 2026.

With 15 offices across the globe, and as the world’s largest provider of digital commerce innovation, Vaimo fought off strong competition to be named among the first 20 official partners in SPACEX’s programme to build a thriving and self-sustaining city on Mars. SPACEX emphasised the need for a diverse makeup of industries in the first phase of the project and a scrupulous selection-process has taken place over the last six months to ensure this.

“It’s an honour to be named as one of the first companies to head to Mars in this decisive moment in the history of humankind,” said David Holender, CEO of Vaimo. “Vaimo is at the forefront of our industry driving innovation and success, and we are confident that our extensive experience and knowledge will be the perfect match for this ground-breaking mission. We have been expanding at a rapid rate over the years and so when this chance presented itself, we saw it as the next natural step in our goal to becoming the multi-planet leader in digital commerce.”

“You want to wake up in the morning and think the future is going to be great – and that’s what being a spacefaring civilization is all about. It’s about believing in the future and thinking that the future will be better than the past. Partnering with Vaimo is a great privilege for us in this mission as they are a business that will be able to contribute greatly to the future that we are trying to achieve,” said Elon Musk, CEO and lead designer, SPACEX.
